Tucked away in the magical gardens of Ty Fry Manor, this beautiful holiday cottage is a real nature getaway and retreat. Drive past the owners’ 17th-century Manor and into your own courtyard. Ty Fry Cottage is hidden within an enchanting wild garden… this place is steeped in charm.
Enter the stable door into a hallway with wobbly walls and find two beautifully dressed bedrooms. One double is small but perfectly formed with tumbling roses tapping the glass. The other is more spacious with a dreamy feel and lovely linens. The morning bird song is magnificent. The bathroom is one to linger in for a long soak.
Up the steep stairs is a fabulous living area under the eaves, with a kitchen to cook up a storm. This is a relaxed, unfussy place - flop down on comfy sofas by the fire in the living area and read up on local history. Or sit for hours at the dining table and eat fresh local seafood.
Or, sit out on your private terrace looking out at the idyllic gardens. Time stands still here at Ty Fry Cottage… so peaceful, so much wildlife. Delight in it all or head out for local food at Red Wharf Bay – The Old Boathouse Restaurant has seafood and also does the best breakfasts by the beach. The Ship Inn is also on the edge of the water with views to give you an appetite.
Beaumaris is a hop and a skip away and is an eclectic mix of shops, galleries and eateries. The pier is quite breathtaking with views of the Snowdonia mountains and the waters of the Menai Strait really shine from here. A 30-minute drive back over the Britannia bridge will plunge you deep into the heart of Snowdonia.
Bring your hiking boots or bikes, stride out from the door and enjoy the local hedgerows and coastal walks. There’s a reassuring timelessness to it all.

General — Ty Fry Cottage sleeps up to 4 guests. Accommodation is on two levels with the bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs and the open plan kitchen/living area upstairs. The owner lives in the large manor adjacent.

Changeover Day — Changeover day is Friday (4 pm check-in / 10 am check out). Short breaks available (excl. peak weeks) Monday to Friday and Friday to Monday.

Dog-friendly — Yes - 1 small dog welcome (£20 extra per dog per stay).

Suitability — Ty Fry is situated over two floors. Both bedrooms and bathroom are on the ground floor. The open plan kitchen/dining/living area is on the first floor.

Bedrooms — Two ground floor double bedrooms. Bedroom 1: double bed. Bedroom 2: double bed but please note that this is a very small room. Hairdryer.

Bathrooms — Ground floor family bathroom with bath, WC, basin, and heated towel rail.

Kitchen / Dining / Living area — Fully equipped kitchen with range electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer (three drawers). Dining table with seating for four. Sitting room area sofas, log burner and TV with Amazon Fire Stick. Desk area. Mountain and garden views.

Outdoors — Small outside patio area with table seating for 4.

Children — No travel cot and high chair available. Note the site has ponds and children must be supervised at all times and only accepted over the age of two years.

Parking — In a private area opposite the property. Two small cars should fit in front of the cottage and there is also a large, grass covered overflow car park nearby.

Bikes — There is no bike store but the area at the rear of the cottage is secure and it is a private estate.

General — The bus stop is a 30-minute walk away near Pentraeth. There is a good pub serving homemade food in Red Wharf Bay which is a 10-minute drive away. The local village and shop in Pentraeth are a 5-minute drive away.

Utilities — All utilities, bed linen and bath towels provided. Electrically controlled radiators. Towel radiators in the bathroom. Please note you will need to bring beach towels. No smoking.
