A perfect hideaway in Beaumaris
Back

Once upon a time, Ty Melyn provided stabling for a nearby house, now its a perfectly formed Bolthole, tucked away on a quiet lane within a hundred yards of the beach in beautiful Beaumaris.

Full Description

Ty Melyn sits with its gable end to the lane which means that what was once the stable yard is now a private and sunny, south facing courtyard garden. Bamboo hedging creates outside 'rooms' and a bistro set, parasol and comfortable outside sofa's make enjoying the space easy.

From the courtyard, a stable door leads into the kitchen and a glazed door into the sitting room; sea air and sunlight fill the house. The two bedrooms upstairs are also bright and sunny and as equally well-appointed and carefully furnished as downstairs. Both have sea views but the best sea view is to be had from the claw footed slipper bath in the bathroom window!

Things to do

"Beautiful Cottage. Lovely decor.Very comfortable with everything you could ever need.
Perfectly located for exploring Beaumaris and other parts of Anglesey: Menai Bridge, Benllech, Moelfre.

Would be an idea to leave one cupboard empty in kitchen as somewhere for guests to store own food.

Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your hospitality."
"Lovely cottage, lots to do and see. Booked for next year."
"Our third stay in Beaumaris and Ty Melyn, my favourite cottage so far! Fabulous to get a glimpse of the Straits from the bed and bath!!
Places to go!
1 - Penmon Point - You needn't drive up to the point. You can leave the car at the bottom, explore the priory etc and walk across the headland to the Point and the Lighthouse.
- Lligwy Beach - Good BUT walk on the coastal path North and there are some fantastic, more secluded beaches :)
3 - Llanddwyn Beach and Island (Newborough) - Time a visit here with the tide times so that you can get across to Ynys Llanddwyn, a magical place!
4 - Further afield - Aberffraw, beautiful . . .
5 - Rhosneigr - Great water sports destination
6 - Rhoscolyn - Stunning. Don't drive down the single track road to the beach. Park at the Church. If you can stop at the White Eagle, great pub and walk to the beach. Enjoy!"
"Fabulous cottage with great attention to detail. Loved the location & so peaceful & private. This is our first stay in Beaumaris & we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! We have felt very welcome & would love to return. Thank you very much. The pie in the Liverpool Arms was the best we have ever had & we love our pies!!"
"Fabulous cottage, very well equipped for a weeks stay. Warm and clean. Comfortable beds. Beaumaris is a lovely place. Lovely walking, check out Ynys Llanddwyn. If you want a spa day, go to Tre Ysgawen Hall Country Hotel/Spa, lovely relaxing treatment. Bakery - Delicious breads/cakes. Moelfre worth a visit. We saw the seals. Penmon lighthouse, fab views of puffin island. Great firework display."
