Waterside cottage for 6 in Menai Bridge
Back

Beach Road runs from under Telford's famous suspension bridge to the Boat Yard in Menai Bridge and Glan y Mor occupies a fine and picturesque postion on the water's side of this quiet road. The Menai Straits has some of the fastest tides in the country and watching the yatchs, powerboats and kayakers navigate these waters from the patio, upstairs balcony or through the bi-fold doors in the sitting room is a real highlight. The views of the straits are fabulous and the house is designed so that nearly every room looks over the water.

Full Description

On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, a TV room/Snug and and a shower room which leads to the main living area with sitting and dining areas and an open plan kitchen with a view and a half. Bifold doors along the lenght of the house lead on to a raised decked area with glass balustrading ensuring those views remain uninterrupted. Steps lead down to a flagged outside dining area.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The two double rooms have patio doors leading on to the balcony; there is no better place to sit with a morning coffee watching the sun rise over the water. Its a beautiful spot in any season.

Things to do

"My family stayed at Carolyne's place for 4 nights and greatly enjoyed our time there. We had never been to Wales and were there to visit my son, who is at Bangor University for a semester. Menai Bridge is a beautiful little town. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants. It is only a 40 minute walk from Bangor University, if you don't mind crossing the bridge on foot. It was a great home base to see other parts of Wales as well. The place is exceptionally clean and comfortable. Carolyne checked on us several times and immediately responded to any questions I had. She was also kind enough to let us check in early and check out late due to issues we had with our travel plans. I highly recommend this property and host."
"We loved staying at Carolyne’s place - it’s absolutely stunning. It has everything you need plus has a luxurious feel to it. The bi-folds open out to the most beautiful view of the Menai Straits - you really feel like your abroad (helped that we had gorgeous weather). The location is great - Carolyne had lots of recommendations for eating and things to do. We were around 20 mins drive from some beautiful beaches but we’re also able to explore the shops and restaurants in the town. Carolyne was really helpful and responsive and we couldn’t recommend her place more - we had a great stay."
"Everything has been said in ALL the recent reviews !!! A WONDERFUL place to spend time going out and about YES …… BUT EQUALLY to just “stay at “HOME” … RELAX … REJUVENATE… BE HAPPY… CHILLING… ENJOYING the LIVING SPACE and the BEAUTY before you !!!!! There was just the two of us BUT it would be a PERFECT SPACE for FAMILIES Too …
CAROLYNE was GREAT as Host !!! BIG HUGS THANK YOU 🤗"
