Cil Haul is the last in a row of houses nestled right by Llanfaelog Church and with great garden space. You’ll find all you need to cook in the sleek kitchen at this Anglesey holiday cottage - big enough for four to be together. Delve into the welcome of local treats whilst you watch a film by the wood-burner on the sofa. Both peaceful bedrooms feel inviting and calm, and they share a smart bathroom. It’s a thoughtful sort of place.
After a long day walking with your dog in the beautiful countryside, head to your own hot tub. Or if you head to Porth Tyn Towyn you can get into the Scenic Sauna by the beach there. Come home sandy and salted, you’ll space to hang wetsuits and you can cook fish on the BBQ and eat out enjoying the rural view. The lawn space is great for little ones or dogs – or both!

About a mile down the road find Rhosneigr, a sea lover’s haven, bustling with surfers and those after meals out – the restaurants are fine indeed Sandy Mount Hotel and Cowrie are a notable couple with local produce on offer. Janet Bell has her homewares to tempt you, and the art gallery is an inspiration too.
You are a seagull flap form an atmospheric tomb with rare examples of prehistoric art Barclodiad y Gawres, or a few minutes further and you arrive at the sleepy village of Aberffraw once the royal court of the Kings of Gwynedd and later of the medieval Princes of Wales. The Llys Llewelyn café there is a more modern nod to the past - a meeting place for coffee and cake. St Cwyfan’s Church has survived though on its tidal rock our little ‘church in the sea’ dates from the 12th century and is worth a walk to.
With beaches sprinkled along the coast from Cil haul to Newborough, there is plenty of sand to go around.
