Scandi-style lodge in private woodland setting
Back

Tucked away near Benllechon, a short walk along footpaths and lanes pops you out in lively Benllech with its sweeping sandy beach and a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Yet back here at Bwthyn Gwyn, you'll feel like you are a million miles from the life's hustle and bustle.

Full Description

Inside this quiet holiday cottage, you'll find a spacious and bright space with lots of windows and french doors that lead out onto the patio and garden areas.

A log burning stove, modern heating system, double glazing and a lovely tongue and groove wooden interior keep things warm and toasty, even on the chilliest of evenings.

The main living area is a large sociable space with a stylish kitchen and dining area and comfy sofas beyond to relax into while watching TV or chatting around the stove.

There are two large bedrooms one at either end of the house, each with lovely ensuite shower rooms. Both have separate access to the gardens through french windows.

Outside, you'll find a wonderfully sheltered stone-flagged patio which makes a great spot for al fresco evening drinks with the chimenea blazing away. The lawned area is ideal for making the most of sunny days when you don't want to stray far from home - first one outside gets to site in the swinging chair!

Things to do

"Our stay at scandi style lodge could not have been better. The lodge is beautiful and was very well equipped meeting more than our needs. Our host Ian gave us lots of places to visit while we stayed there and was very helpful. An extremely peaceful setting to get away from it all but with the lovely town and beach of Benllech just 15 minutes walk away. A thoroughly enjoyable weeks stay and would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to come here."
"A beautiful lodge in a amazing setting. Lots of wildlife and so peaceful yet only a 10 min walk to Benllech. The lodge was spotless and really well equipped, with lots of space inside and a great outside area. I can highly recommend if you need a place to stay near to Benllech or Red Wharf Bay, but also able to visit the whole island."
"Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bwthyn Gwyn. The spacious lodge was immaculately presented and catered for our every need, from the cracking kitchen complete with a wine fridge to the chiminea and the very well-manicured, secure, dog-friendly garden. The owner’s dad was very helpful and suggested some great places to visit. The stroll into Benllech through beautiful woodland was easily achieved in 15 minutes. All in all, probably the best Boltholes we’ve stayed in and we’ve stayed in a few as we love Boltholes and have been booking with them for more than 8 years!"
"The lodge was absolutely stunning - even better than the photos suggest. We immediately felt at home with the log fire burning on our arrival and a really lovely gift set of tasty Welsh goodies left for us. We had a very relaxing stay, and the lodge is well located to explore Anglesey and North Wales. Our dog was extremely happy and comfortable too with a good-sized secure garden. The hosts came to check in and provided some great local recommendations. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and I think we might be back in the Summer."
