This simple whitewashed cottage sits in the dunes just outside Rhosneigr, literally a stone's throw from the beach at Lion Rock.

Don't be deceived by Borth Bach's rustic appearance - this is a beachside Hideaway.

You may need to duck your head to avoid low doorways - tall guests beware! Inside you'll find a brand new shower room, a well-equipped galley kitchen with a full-size oven and induction hob, washer/dryer, dishwasher, two lovely bedrooms and a cosy living room/diner. Bright and sparkling, the owner's original artwork of nearby coastal scenes adorn the walls, creating a peaceful beach bolthole to soothe the soul.

Opposite the front door is a sheltered little garden with a summer house, barbeque, table and chairs for four and some beach toys perfect for some essential sandcastle building.

  • Dogs One small/medium dog welcome (we charge a fee of £20 per dog per stay). There's an outside hose for sandy dogs!
  • Bedrooms Two bedrooms, both ground floor. Bedroom 1 - king-size bed, hairdryer. Bedroom 2 - twin room with two 2'6" single beds.
  • Bathrooms Family shower room with electric shower, WC and hand basin.
  • Kitchen Well equipped galley kitchen with induction hob and full-size electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer (3 drawers), cafetiere, dishwasher and washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.
  • Reception rooms Three seater sofa and easy chair, TV with Freeview, dining table and chairs for four.
  • Accessibility All accommodation is on one level. Access around and within the property is generally flat. There is one step down into the kitchen and up to the living room. There's also one step up to the garden.
  • Outside Enclosed small garden opposite (one step up). Garden table and chairs for four. Summer house with chairs. BBQ (charcoal not provided). Hosepipe for dogs.
  • Parking Private parking for two vehicles, 10 metres from the front door.
  • Children Generally suitable for children. Travel cot available on request (bedding not supplied). Please note that a high chair is not provided.
  • Bikes Bikes can be stored in the summer house. Please bring your own bike locks.

  • To note Borth Bach is a simple beach hut in a fantastic position near Traeth Llydan beach. The owners live in the main house and will make use of the pathway between the house and the garden.
  • Utilities All utilities, linen and bath towels provided. Electric heaters and water heater. Towel radiator in the bathroom. Iron and ironing board.

Location

A minute's walk on the path over the dunes drops you onto the beautiful sandy beach of Traeth Llydan (Broad beach) which stretches south to the beaches of Tyn Towyn and Porth Nobla and north to Rhosneigr around half a mile's sandy walk away. Heaven for dogs and their walkers or for anyone looking to do some surfing or paddling.

The path inland over the dunes takes you to the fantastic Oyster Catcher Restaurant where you can enjoy a sundowner in Wil's bar or the Dune bar or then choose to eat in or buy a take-out meal from the Shack. You may want to forget about the car for the duration of your stay!
