Dog friendly cottage within walking distance of Lligwy Beach
Back

Bear’s Cottage is part of a wonderful collection of four cottages, steeped in history and full of a charm that is so very difficult to show through photographs. This is a feeling you will need to experience first-hand to fully understand. Trust us, we have fallen utterly in love with this collection of cottages.

Full Description

Bear’s Cottage leaves no one wishing to change places, it is “just right”. Dog friendly and nestled amongst the stone buildings of Plas Lligwy Farm there are over 90 acres of woodland surrounding you, home to an abundance of nature and bursting with birdsong. A short walk to the historic sites of Din Lligwy and Lligwy Chapel and, further on, Lligwy Beach, where miles of sand and coastal walks great you like a long-lost friend.

A gorgeous window seat beckons you into the cottage, sharing the secrets of walls so thick you cannot fail to feel their magic. Backing onto the farm’s old walled garden there is plenty for all to see and explore.

Step into a warm farmhouse kitchen, a log burner lit ready to welcome you. Everything you could possibly need awaits country cooks ready to create feasts of local produce. Settle back at the kitchen table and enjoy the quiet.

Through to a sitting room that politely requests all who enter to relax. An electric log burner ensures the feeling is one complete contentment. Reach for the television controls if you wish, or sit quietly with a page turner of your choice. With dappled light and a quiet farmyard for company we challenge you not to close your eyes and feel at home.

Downstairs a bathroom with bath and shower ensures all are happy – quick showers or leisurely baths we leave the choice to you. Next along an utility room to ease a day of exploring into a fresh new day.

Upstairs two bedrooms await those sleepy heads – sun-kissed or rosy cheeked, rest will be a dream. Close the curtains if you wish, or gaze beyond the fields to the sea wishing for another day of wave jumping or wild swimming.

With so much to see and do it is often hard to come to the end of a wonderful day but worry not as the joy carries on at the cottages – a games room awaits busy challengers of joy – with table tennis, a pool table and table football the glove is thrown down!

A holiday at Bear’s Cottage is a joy – here the days are easy to fill and will quieten all busy souls. Return we are sure you will, once experienced always remembered.
