Pentraeth

The village of Pentraeth sits on the bank of Afon Nodwydd - its name means "head of the beach" and it is thought that the sea once came up to it. From the beach at Pentraeth, where there's usually a great mobile cafe, serving homemade cakes and good coffee, you can access Red Wharf Bay with its huge stretch of sandy beach - a bird watchers' paradise.
