Llanddeusant

The village of Llanddeusant sits close to Afon Alaw (Alaw River), approximately 10 miles northeast of Holyhead. The name means the church with two saints. The river powered two historical windmills - Melin Llynnon (Lynnon Mill) and Melin Howell (Howell Mill) and the former is the only working wind-powered mill in Wales - its iconic sails can be spotted from miles away.
