The minute you enter Tros Yr Afon, you will feel at home. It is an incredibly peaceful Georgian cottage filled with light and is just short of giving you a hug upon arrival. This is the perfect Beaumaris bolthole for family and friends and sleeps six guests and has the added luxury of private off road parking for two cars - a joy in Beaumaris!

Tros Yr Afon is one of those immediately appealing spaces. Super-comfortable furnishings with modern luxuries, but with original features still present to remind you how long this cottage has been guarding those views. What strikes you most is how at home you will feel – and the more people return here, the more they feel this. The owner really wants you to relax and not worry about anything.

Walk into the sun-filled kitchen and sit on the window seat to drink a quiet cup of coffee – with a slice of homemade cake and views to write home about, you will love it. The playroom calls out to the children the minute they see it. Full to bursting with wonderful toys that draw them into a world of make-believe. You can relax knowing they are safe and entertained. A little time to yourself or the perfect place to join their world.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all types of cooks and with a table that seats eight, you know you are going to enjoy sitting down to leisurely mealtimes. No need to pack the car to the roof as everything you need is here ready for you, even picnic ware!

Across from the kitchen is the ground floor bedroom with the most enormous super-king sized bed! With heavenly crisp linen and thick mattresses that are just so comfortable and gorgeous views from the French windows. You will love this bedroom. With a bookshelf full of great books, radio and a comfy chair to sit on, this is a bedroom to relax in. And for those who love to watch television or a DVD in bed – there’s a television just for you.

A modern shower room sits next door with a large wardrobe for your holiday clothes. Past the stairs, there is a utility room with a washing machine and an extra freezer. Grab the keys from the hook and you can explore the wild garden out back. Bug hotels and bird feeders await those who love to watch nature at its best. Apple trees and blackcurrant bushes flower and fruit for guests to enjoy. A picnic table sits patiently for those that love to bbq in the privacy of their own back garden. Sit quietly on the benches and enjoy the bird song - you will find it hard to believe you are in a town.

The old Ty Bach (outside loo) is now a room with a large Belfast sink and a storage area for buckets, spades, crabbing lines and nets that the owner is happy for you to borrow. Once you have finished having fun on the beach, you can wash off your sandy wetsuits here and hang them up to dry at Tros Yr Afon, ready for another day of fun.

Wander up the beautiful original winding wooden Georgian stairs to an enormous upstairs sitting room. Such a wonderful room with window seats to watch the ever-changing sea and mountain views. Snuggle up on the large sofas and enjoy catching up with each other in front of the open coal fire. A Bluetooth sound system, Smart tv, DVD player and a huge selection of DVDs and games await those who wish to relax.

There are two further bedrooms upstairs. A large bedroom with a king-size bed overlooks the Menai Strait and Snowdonia mountains. Wake up to this amazing view. As the light starts to highlight the mountains, you know you are in for a heavenly stay. The final bedroom has twin full sized single beds that are equally as comfortable as the other beds, so adults will be just as happy as the children are. There are travel cots for those that are not quite ready for the “big beds”! Twins? Not a problem there is two of everything!

The family bathroom awaits you on the mid landing. A large bath for relaxing in and a shower over for those who are ready to get up and explore! A beautiful garden greets you as you brush your teeth planning your next adventure.

With two gardens to choose from you can follow the sun. Eat your breakfast and lunch at the picnic table in the front garden or sit on the bench to read quietly and gaze at the mountains. Later in the day, you can move to the back garden where the sun shines in the afternoon and early evening. Another picnic table for those who like to eat al fresco sits in the middle of a large lawn. This is a magical back garden that allows peace and quiet or the kicking of footballs. If you look carefully you may even find a few fairy doors.

The final icing on the cake is off road parking. You can park outside the cottage if you wish or you can use the off road parking just a little further down the road. It is wonderful to have a choice.

Beaumaris allows everyone to take a rest, even the car - with so many incredible historic sites to visit all within walking distance there really is no need to travel anywhere for the first few days. Beaumaris Castle cries out for aspiring knights, climb the stairs to marvel at the incredible views. Visit the Gaol, Courthouse and Beaumaris Pier...pop into the RNLI Lifeboat Station and learn all about our modern day brave knights. Splash in the paddling pool and swing on the swings, grab an ice cream from Redboat and sit with your legs dangling over the sea wall. Heavenly views will absorb you - the sea lapping at the shore and the mountains rising up majestically.

Explorers get ready - with the Anglesey Coastal Path on your doorstep there is no excuse not to discover Anglesey. With easy and more challenging routes, there is something for everyone. Fancy climbing Snowdon? Walking boots on and off you go! There is also a train for those who would rather not walk. Visit Penmon Lighthouse, Newborough Beach, Llanddona Beach, Moelfre or venture up to Holyhead and visit South Stack - an incredible RSPB Nature Reserve. Elin's Tower is a must.

It is so easy to get everywhere from Beaumaris and yet a joy to return to - park your car and walk to all the restaurants, pubs and shops. A simple stroll to Ena's Newsagent's to buy the morning paper and then home via Central Bakery, where freshly baked bread ensures a leisurely breakfast. Such a pleasure.
