Tranquillity and birdsong surround this lovely hideaway for four.
Tyn Llan is reached by heading down a private track – go past the ancient church, to rural bliss. The views from this whitewashed little Welsh listed cottage are as peaceful and calm as it gets. The beautiful gardens are a haven; ponder by the stream and read quietly by pots of geraniums.
Slate slabs set in the garden pathway lead to your rustic haven. Inside Tyn Llan, with stone flagging and underfloor heating in the kitchen, remnants of the old cottage may remain, but style and comfort are now the order of the day. The sitting room is super with gentle colours, stone flags, a warming wood-burner and striped blinds; sink into a squashy snuggler chair or sofa with your drink and unwind.
A spacious family kitchen is well equipped with a great gas hob, good ovens for the keen cook and everything you need to prepare a super supper. A chunky dining table keeps the country feel and is convenient here for unhurried dinners. Underfloor heating in the kitchen keeps the toes toasty warm throughout the year.
The master king bedroom at Tyn Llan is beautifully uncluttered with warm colours and simple furnishings. Wake to views over the garden. Next door is a twin room, small but perfectly formed.
A pretty bathroom, crisp and shiny with a large bath to help soak away any weary limbs.
Outside the large, established garden is a delight with seating areas and a trampoline for all to enjoy.
Come here to walk, cycle, take photos, fish, watch butterflies, comb the beaches and drink in the dark night skies and stars. The countryside here is so ridiculously pretty. Idyllic country lanes lead you past graceful old trees and fields of sheep to the local village at Bethel with a shop and pub.
Locally you can blow the cobwebs away on the beaches at Aberffraw or Newborough. Or of course, you can live the high life and dine at the Marram Grass just down the road, to savour the taste of locally produced food. Peace and tranquillity are guaranteed.

“What a fabulous cottage, you have thought of absolutely everything. We have had a lovely chilled out weekend, which is just what we needed after the madness of Christmas and New Year; and we couldn’t have chosen a nicer place. Lovely walks on Newborough Beach and the weather, although cold, has been bright and sunny for us. We will definitely be back again. Many thanks.”
“Amazing cottage with beautiful surroundings. I really dont’ want to go home tomorrow! Great location for visiting stunning places, Abberfraw for dune nature reserve and coastal walks. Newborough sands and not forgettting the forest (Eric’s favourite – a Bernese mountain dog). As for dog friendly dining we can’t recommend The White Eagle highly enough. We really have had a perfect week, great weather, lovely long walks and lots of relaxing in front of the fire in the evenings. Thank you, hope to return.”
“Perfect cottage in a perfect location (we want to live here!). Many thanks for the lovely treats on arrival”

“What a wonderful quaint little cottage. We’ve spent a wonderful short break here – the accommodation is perfect – clean, modern but kept the old worldly cottage theme – love it! Look forward to returning and will be recommending to family and friends. Lovely touch with the fresh flowers and welcome pack – much appreciated after a long journey. See you soon.”
“We have spend 3 wonderful nights here and are very sad to leave such a beautiful location. The cottage is adorable and the garden perfect. Our eight year old was delighted. We visited Cemaes, really lovely place and enjoyed a swim in the sea. Beaumaris busy and bustling with lots of charm and a fantastic range of shops! We also visited The Marram Grass Cafe, lovely find, although expensive treat. The cottage had everything we needed and the cleaning person deserves praise. Huge thanks.
“A breathtaking holiday home…in which every detail has been addressed, really please we chose Tyn Llan for our first holiday in Anglesey. Had a great couple of days and Newborough Beach, Rhosneigr lovely too. Ventured to Snowdon and travelled on Ffestiniog Railway. Our girls had a great time on the choo-choo train! Fabulous accommodation, Ann was very attentive to our queries for which we are grateful. Don’t forget the BBQ or the trampoline in the garden! Thank you so much for a lovely stay.”

“We would like to thank you so much for the beautiful cottage, gardens and location. We had a fantastic family weekend and will definitely recommend to our family and friends. Everything was thought of – it was more like a home than a holiday cottage! Absolutely fantastic!!! Many thanks. P.S. The welcome pack was really appreciated and the choccy cake to die for!
“Unusually I am writing this on our first day of arrival, but feel I need to do so to capture our thoughts entering a place that has literally just been completed….we arrived a little early and Ann and her daughter were just finishing off the last touches! What can we say….stunning, stunning, stunning. Amazing accommodation and beautiful garden with consideration to all needs. Thank you so much for the welcome pack and we will continue this review after our 5 night stay…
…Just what we needed. An amazing break, good weather, visiting places we knew as well as new places. We have been so priveleged being your first guests and can’t thank you enough, Ann, for allowing us to spend this treasured time in such a wonderful place.”
