Tan Y Bryn
Upon arrival a light and bright house welcomes you – inviting you to drop everything in the large entrance hall so you can run to the conservatory to absorb the most spectacular views. You know you have chosen the most wonderful house to gather family and friends in.
Enter a gorgeous, double-aspect, sitting room – this is the heart of the house, beautifully designed with gentle colours that help bring the outside in through large light filled windows. Snuggle up on the two large comfy sofas and armchair – with the log-burner lit and friends and family surrounding you. The feeling of being at home with a library of books to draw you toward relaxation, as you think about cooking supper and eating at the enormous farmhouse table, is such a welcome treat. The newly painted and well equipped kitchen cries out to cooks who will love it as it is perfectly positioned just off the sitting room. No need to tuck yourself away and cook – you can enjoy all the chat and views as you create your latest feast. The sunrises and sunsets are incredible on Anglesey and this is the room to view them all from. Heavenly.
Tan Y Bryn is the most incredible house if two families wish to holiday together. With independent stairs to two sets of bedrooms you can stop worrying if your children are up in the night ! With plenty of spotless bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom with WC and masses of coat hanging space, you know the only difficult thing this holiday is deciding what to do!
From the main entrance hall head up the first set of stairs to a double bedroom with cot and en-suite shower room. Next door is a twin room with the most amazing views and dual aspect windows. A shower room with lavatory completes this section of the house.
The other set of bedrooms is reached via another spacious hall – here you will find a piano for all the budding musicians to practise away. On the ground floor you will find a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Gaze out the window and enjoy the breathtaking views shared by the conservatory and sitting room.
Up the second set of stairs you will find a children’s twin bedroom – with the possibility of two single beds and another smaller cot bed you will find this room gives you a lot of flexibility. Next door is a double bedroom with views over the spectacular garden. Finally, there is a family bathroom with a bath shouting out for bubbles and relaxing soaks!
Dogs will be happy here too. Just inside the front door they will find their very own room where they can relax away after their walks. With a tiled floor you know you can relax and allow wet dogs to dry off before they come in the house. Opposite is a handy utility room with an extra fridge, washing machine and sink – not to mention an amazing airing rack that makes life that much easier!
The garden wraps itself around the house and there are plenty of places to eat – follow the sun happily at Tan Y Bryn !
Visit Llanddona Beach, within a few minutes drive of Tan Y Bryn, and walk the length of the beach to Red Wharf Bay where you will find The Ship Inn and The Boathouse to welcome thirsty or hungry explorers. Once refreshed carry on along the Anglesey Coastal Path to Benllech where miles of sandy shores await you. Explore Moelfre and learn all about Anglesey’s seafaring past, skip along the coastal path to the RNLI Lifeboat Station and watch them launch their off shore lifeboat. Wander back to Ann’s Pantry and tuck into a delicious lunch or treaty tea – scones to walk for ! Closer to home is the Owain Glydwr pub where home cooked food is in abundance and, after a day of exploring, is well deserved.

“Had a lovely holiday. House clean and spacious, home from home. Amazing views, weather brill. Had selfies done with horses. Hope to come back again soon. Thanks!” (Bradleys, Hyslops and Russells – and Bud the dog. August 2018)
“Had a wonderful time in this lovely house! Amazing views, changing every day. Everyone really enjoyed staying here and hope to return.” (Tweedys and Kays, July 2018)
“Ideal holiday home for 4 couples. Couldn’t have had a better week for the weather. Home cooking, bbqs, fish and chips night at the pub. Local trips and National Trust visits, Newborough Beach & Puffin Island boat trip all enjoyed. Fabulous house, views etc. Great time had by all.” (Chris, Cathy, Blair, Margo, John, June, Frank & Christine, June 2018)
“Our second visit to this lovely house. Relaxing and good time had by all.” (Harry, Elizabeth, Jane & Ian, June 2018)
“What a fabulous house with a view to match anywhere in the world. The fine sunny weather was a bonus with trips to Llanddona Beach down the steep hill, which was a thrill a minute! Benllech Bay, Newborough Beach with a drive through a picturesque forest. The house has been absolutely perfect for all 9 of us to enjoy. Grandparents, parents and three children who have all had the time of their lives. The grown ups enjoyed the BBQs on the terrace with the wonderful view, whilst the children enjoyed playing in the garden and watching the horses being led in and out of the stables. The conservatory was ideal to enjoy a drink in the evening. We would love to return here – the perfect holiday! Thank you.” (Sue, Dave, Jenny, Shane, Lyndsey, Rob, Kiera, Jack and Emily, June 2017)
“What a wonderful house with stunning views. We have had a lovely week and some glorious sunshine along with quite a lot of wind (which I understand is quite usual!). Perfect house for a family “get together”. Some of us were able to walk to and from the beach – the steep hill gets your heart pumping! Visited Rhosneigr, Plas Newydd, Benllech (lovely lunch in the Bay Cafe) and Beaumaris. Fabulous place – we’d love to come again. Thank you. ” (Dorothy, Penny, Chris, Jill, Alan, Lindsay and John June 2017)
“A superb house with stunning views. Very well equipped. Llanddona Beach well worth the steep drive. Beaumaris Castle very interesting. A trip to Black Point Lighthouse is a certainty. When the sun shines the views from Tan Y Bryn are amazing – but even in the wild storm we experienced the views were dramatic. An excellent place for a family holiday.” (The Rose and Bowler families, June 2017)
“A lovely week in a beautiful house – glorious weather and great sunsets enjoyed in the conservatory. Peaceful gardens and plenty of places to sit and read and enjoy the views. Enjoyed watching the horses and trips to Beaumaris, Red Wharf Bay and Lligwy Beach (recommended by Poppy our dog). Curry night great value at the Owain Glyndwr pub” (Harry, Elizabeth, Jane, Ian and Poppy, May 2017)
“Lovely week away with family, house is superb and well equipped with stunning views! Benllech and Beaumaris definitely worth a visit, also popped to Llandudno for a tram trip to the Great Orme – good day out and busy town with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. Friday night is curry night at the Owain Glyndwr – would definitely recommend the food there and it’s walking distance! (The Stevens Family, May 2017)
“We’ve had a wonderful holiday in a perfect house in a perfect location. Beautiful views – and all topped off with Jenny’s delicious cake! Her cooking is very good too – as we found out when we visited the Owain Glyndwr pub.” (Lynda, Gill, Maralynn and Denise, May 2017)
“Absolutely fabulous Bank Holiday weekend, 2 families so the house worked brilliantly. There is plenty of space for the kids to run around outside and they loved riding their bikes here. We went to the Anglesey riding centre for a riding lesson which we would recommend and a lovely bike ride in Newborough Forest. We also had a lovely trip into Beaumaris. The house has been amazing. We will definitely come back!” (Sophie, Tim, Olive (7), Bella (5), April 2017)
“Been here for Easter week and we have all really enjoyed our stay at Tan Y Bryn. The views are spectacular from every window! Pity we didn’t get much sunshine, but made the most of our stay. Facilities are wonderful. We especially enjoyed the log fire in the evening. The dining table seated us all and we liked the open plan dining-kitchen area. Great coffee machine ! We walked to the local pub – Owain Glyndwr and had the Tuesday special – fish and chips for £5. Very nice. The “dog room” is a brilliant idea. Our little chihuahua settled very well in there at night”. (The Brooks family, April 2017)
